French Toast Bistro: A Cajun-Inspired Breakfast Haven in Canton, MI

Such a great brunch! The food and staff were really great! The wait was about 25 minutes which seemed less. Our first time visiting and they gave us beignets as a free treat. Really great food. The grits were my favorite. I didn't add anything to them. They were perfect!! They also have a bar. The manager came over to greet us which I thought gave it a personable feel. Love this place!

I Forgot to get a pic of the charcuterie borad. I was really good and the french toast. My shrimp & grits needed some flavor. Plus my shrimp were a little chewy. The waiter only came to the table once to check on us

This was our first visit. Somebody came to seat us and promptly took us to a high top - which I cannot sit at - and my husband asked if we could be seated at a regular table because of such. The eye roll from the host was noticeable, and I was embarrassed and simply wanted to leave. (I sometimes faint if I stand too long or my feet dangle, it’s safer not to sit high.) We stayed, were moved without a word to a regular table. Then Diamond came and made the day. She was friendly, welcoming, asked if it was our first visit, talked about menu and the drinks, and was incredibly inviting. My husband had Cajun hash, and I had the gnocchi soup - all of it was fresh and so good. We were surprised with the best beignets as well. We were so appreciative of Diamond’s friendliness and the way she turned our visit around. The food is worth going back for.

Came here for the first time today and i can already say this place has moved to the top of our breakfast spot list. Crab eggs bennie and catfish eggs bennie (a special today) were both excellent. Eggs were poached perfectly. Catfish was fried nice and crispy and seasoned well. We also received a couple beignets for being forest time customers and i will be ordering those everyone we visit again. Outstanding. My only complaint was the Creme Brûlée French Toast is probably misnamed. While it was very good French toast and the vanilla sauce on it was tasty, i would have really enjoyed it if it had that crunchy caramelised crust that a creme brûlée does.

I should have taken a picture of our plates before we destroyed them, unfortunately I did not. Trust me, presentation was amazing. The food was even better! 10/10 the best greens I've ever had. The peaches and cream waffles were delicious. Our server Morgan P was so kind and bubbly, she made our brunch a wonderful experience!!!!

Right now I’m having brunch here and the atmosphere is quite nice. The service is A1 from the hostess and to our server Morgan. Very sweet, knowledgeable and attentive service she gave. The jerk wings not pictured were good with a nice kick and lime twist. For entrees the scrambled eggs with hash beef bacon and biscuit. The meal was good the only things were the beef bacon tasted sodium free and the onions and peppers should be diced in the potatoes. The chicken and waffle were good also. The hot honey isn’t hot but peppery. Overall the experience was great. Will be back

Never disappoints. The food is amazing, the drinks are delicious and the service is top notch. Rece was our server and he is so attentive and sweet. My favorite local brunch place.

I saw the many great reviews and decided to try. I really liked it! The staff was really nice and explained everything really well. I ordered the Farmers Omelet and one French Toast to taste and beignets to go. All was great! My only little problem was I looked forward to taking my grown children but the price with tip was over $40. I'd go again for sure though.
